For accusations of hazing, UF?s Greek Judicial Board recommended that Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity be placed on conduct probation for the spring semester.
At a hearing on Dec. 7, the board decided that the fraternity?s cooperation with the spring sanctions would determine its fate for the spring semester.
Alpha Tau Omega, known as ATO, was suspended from social and recruitment privileges for fall. Members are allowed to hold two social events in the spring, but the events must be alcohol-free.
ATO must also participate in five philanthropies and a seven-week new-member education program. New members are not allowed at the fraternity house, located at 207 SW 13th St., after 10 p.m.
In November, ATO was accused of depriving its new members of sleep and forcing them to be designated drivers for older members.
Fletcher Rush, ATO?s president, said the fraternity would accept the sanctions.
At the hearing, Rush said he was not present during any of the alleged hazing and did not have knowledge of it.
