Adam Allen joins baseball team; McArthur to miss two weeks

UF basketball player Adam Allen has joined the baseball team. The 6'8" forward is a right-handed pitcher on the mound and his addition could not have come at a better time for a baseball team lacking in pitching depth.

Allen will be available to pitch Tuesday night against North Florida.

Senior first baseman Brandon McArthur ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a game against North Florida on Wednesday, but will attempt to play on a brace in a couple weeks. He was in the middle of a nine-game hitting streak before he hurt his knee.
