Urban Meyer goes on ESPN Radio

UF football coach Urban Meyer appeared on the Mike Tirico show on ESPN Radio today with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit (yes, I know it's called the Mike Tirico show, but Tirico's out at Augusta covering the Masters for ESPN).

Such an interview is probably to be expected, considering ESPN will be having College GameDay at a spring game for the first time ever at the Orange and Blue Game Saturday.

Of special note, Meyer said Harvin's surgery was a little more than perhaps he'd let on before. It will be a three-month recovery and will not be back before July or August. Meyer described the surgery as shaving part of Harvin's heel bone off and drilling some holes into it.

Sure doesn't sound fun to me, but Meyer did say Harvin should still be 100 percent for fall practice and the 2008 season.

Meyer also singled out three guys at the running back position - Kestahn Moore, Emmanuel Moody and Chris Rainey - that may finally give the Gators the feature back Meyer has always wanted.

Check out the audio in its entirety here:

(I think you might have to be an ESPN Insider to listen.)

We'll see what Meyer has to say after practice later today.
