BREAKING: Speights to stay in NBA Draft

Marreese Speights is officially gone and will keep his name in the NBA Draft, confirmed former AAU coach Matt Ramker.

After speaking with UF coach Billy Donovan this morning over a conference call, Speights made it official that he will be entering the NBA Draft.

"Obviously nothing was going to be official into Coach Donovan was in the loop," Ramker said "He's been great and extremely supportive."

Speights signed with agent Andy Miller and will now work on moving up in the draft as much as possible.

"He's one of the premier agents in the NBA, and he's got a great reputation," Ramker said "We felt very comfortable with his client base."

Speights was UF's only true big man, and while he was inconsistent last season his size will still be missed.

"I want to thank Coach Donovan and the entire staff for helping me develop my game and become a better player over the past two years," Speights said in a statement. "Even though I'm leaving the University of Florida early, I'll forever be a Gator."
