Tim Tebow was announced as the SEC Male Athlete of the Year on Wednesday. Former swimmer and Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte also won the award in 2005. Danny Wuerffel was the only other Gator in UF history that has won it in 1996 and '97.
It wouldn't be that big of a shock if Tebow joins Wuerffel as another two-time winner of the award.
Former Tennessee Vol and current Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker won the award for the women.
