The Orange and Blue Party and the Gator Party are back for this fall's Student Government election.

The two parties that ran against each other in the spring semester, with the Gator Party snagging the executive ticket and the majority of Student Senate seats, have registered their parties again this week.

While Orange and Blue Party members have yet to be chosen, Sam Miorelli, Orange and Blue Party president, said his party's plan for action would stay the same.

"We're going to run on the idea that this is your Student Government, this is your University of Florida and this is your money that's being handed out," said Miorelli, who registered the party Tuesday morning.

Luis Nobriga, Gator Party president, registered the party Wednesday.

Nobriga said they have some goals in mind, but couldn't share specifics on the party's upcoming platform until new the party members are chosen.

Convincing more students to vote is one of the biggest challenges Nobriga said he expects to face.
