Coach Mary Wise fielded questions on a number of topics prior to Thursday's practice on the O'Connell center floor.
Senior middle blocker Kelsey Bowers, who did not play against Pacific on Saturday, missed practice Wednesday due to her nagging back injury. Wise said that she expected Bowers to participate in Thursday's practice, but is unsure on whether or not she will be able to play on back to back days anytime in the near future.
"An ankle sprain, we're used to. A jammed finger, that we know. Our trainers can give you specifics on healing time and rest time needed," Wise said. "But the back, we hope Kelsey sleeps OK at night. There's just no telling."
The Gators play five games over the next eight days, and right now Bowers' availability is "day to day."
