Wide receiver Percy Harvin is expected to play Saturday against LSU, UF coach Urban Meyer said Wednesday.

The junior playmaker sat out of practice on Sunday and Monday with pain in his ankle, but he participated in Wednesday's session.

"He didn't go through a full practice but he ran around a little bit," Meyer said.

Meyer said it was too early to say definitively whether Harvin would play.

"I think so," Meyer said. "I'll know more Friday."

QUIET TEBOW: One of the biggest storylines of this college football season is the significant drop in quarterback Tim Tebow's numbers since last year. Through his first five games in 2007, Tebow had 11 touchdown passes and 8 rushing touchdowns en route to winning the Heisman Trophy.

This season has been a far different story for Tebow, who has 8 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing. Unlike others, Tebow is far from concerned about the drop in his numbers.

"Am I making any crazy sort of plays like I did last year? No, but that's not really what I'm focused on right now," Tebow said. "There will probably be a time in the next few games against the type of competition we're going against that I might need, but for the most part I'm just managing the offense."

UNDER THE BRIGHT LIGHTS: There are many things Meyer has learned about UF in his four years as the Gators' head coach, and one of them is that fans enjoy watching primetime games.

"They love the night games," Meyer said. "They bring a little juice and like the (Southeastern Conference) games and the FSU games.

"I notice the night games, they're out of control."
