Payment system fails to launch

The transition to the myUFL PeopleSoft Student Financials system will have to wait another day following technical issues that prohibited Monday's planned launch.

According to a UF Computing Help Desk alert message, the system was not launched because UF found issues with the way payments are applied to student accounts.

The new system is expected to launch at 1 p.m. today, according to a message on ISIS.

Financial information and services will now be accessed through the myUFL portal rather than ISIS.

The system is expected to provide a new, faster way for students, parents and staff to access financial information. The new system is being put in place because the current fee system is 26 years old, according to the site.

Online fee payments have not been allowed since Oct. 7 in order to make the switch to the new software. Payments can still be made at Financial Services.
