Tim Tebow has more than one vote to cast this fall.

The then-sophomore's historic win of the Heisman Trophy last December earned him a lifetime vote for the award. Last year there were only 925 voters, 54 from previous winners.

This past bye weekend gave Tebow a chance to do some early research, and his current front-runner is No. 1 Texas' quarterback, Colt McCoy.

McCoy has received a lot of national attention the last two weeks for leading the Longhorns to wins against then-No. 1 Oklahoma and then-No.11 Missouri.

The junior has completed 81 percent of his passes, racking up 1,894 yards and 19 touchdowns with only three interceptions. He is Texas' leading rusher with 371 yards on the ground and six touchdowns.

"I don't think there's anybody who's above him right now," Tebow said.

UF's signal-caller had deemed Missouri quarterback Chase Daniel his projected pick earlier in the season, but the Tigers have proceeded to lose two straight games to Texas and Oklahoma State.

Tebow enjoys being one of a selected company of voters.

"I think it's cool," Tebow said. "You have a responsibility. To have a vote for the Heisman is a pretty cool deal and something you should do wisely and have a well-educated vote."

And as for that No. 15 from UF?

"I don't know," Tebow laughed. "He's OK."

NO HARD FEELINGS: Coach Urban Meyer confirmed reports Tuesday that redshirt sophomore Mon Williams will transfer, but Meyer said it is not a bad situation.

"We wish him the best," Meyer said. "Not everything always works out. He's a good guy, a good kid. No issues with us."

Meyer also said he would help Williams find a potential transfer location.

"He hasn't asked me yet," he said.
