A memorial for Michelle Moses, a UF student who died Dec. 20 while driving home to Mason, Ohio, for winter break, will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at UF Hillel, 2020 W. University Ave.

Alpha Epsilon Phi, the sorority that Moses belonged to, is organizing the event.

A donation drive has also begun to raise $78,000 to build a house in her honor through Habitat for Humanity.

Moses volunteered with the organization last spring break, rebuilding houses in New Orleans destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

$2,000 had been raised toward the goal as of Jan. 10, according to a Facebook group.

For those who wish to donate, more information can be obtained by calling 513-621-4147 or e-mailing lprather@cinci.rr.com and asking about donating in the name of Michelle Moses.
