After two first-place finishes to start the season, the Gators could not continue their dominance against some of the best teams in the country.

The No. 5 UF men's golf team finished in seventh place at the Puerto Rico Classic with a team score of 5 under par.

UF shot 6 under par in the final round on Sunday, the best round for the team this weekend. Despite the successful day, the Gators could not move up the leaderboard and ended Sunday in the same spot where they had begun the day.

Senior Billy Horschel helped carry the load for the team. He finished with a score of 8 under par for the tournament, the sixth-best individual score.

Freshman Mu Hu shot 3 under par Sunday, bouncing back from two tough rounds. He ended the final round at 3 over par for the tournament.

No. 2 Georgia won the event with a team score of 38 under par.

The Gators will be back in action on March 13 at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship in Las Vegas.
