Student Government's political parties wrapped up interviews to fill the 50 open Senate seats at the Reitz Union Tuesday.

Supervisor of Elections Ariana Alfonso said the turnout was the largest seen during the three days of interviews, with 262 students qualifying.

Over the past three days, 307 students showed interest in the Unite Party, 57 students interviewed the Orange and Blue Party and 50 students interviewed with the Progress Party.

Unite Party President Joey Regalado said his party has almost an entirely full slate, running candidates for every seat except family housing.

The Orange and Blue and the Progress Parties also have nearly full tickets.

Orange and Blue Party President Kyle Huey said his party has 45 candidates running for the open seats and Nick Mildebrath, campaign manager for the Progress Party, said his party will run 40 candidates.
