Narrated by MIKE McCALL
(Writer) Mike McCall (Skip's No Quarter Swashbucklers) def. (Reader) Ben Volin (Rollin' with Volin) 178-123:
Undefeated entering the week, Volin (5-1) was the clear favorite to win this league. But can he shake off this record-setting shellacking from McCall's boys? Expect a tough week of practice in the Volin house. McCall (4-2) got a combined 96 points from Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing and Oregon State running back Jacquizz Rodgers, enough to beat three teams this week.
(W) Mike DiFerdinando (DiFer) def. (W) Bobby Callovi (Jerry Hughes for Heisman) 126-79:
Callovi's squad (3-3) was limited because of bye weeks, with four major producers idle. There wasn't much he could've accomplished this week, though leaving the Texas defense (40 points) on the bench didn't help. Shockingly, DiFerdinando (4-2) didn't start Washington quarterback Jake Locker, his "west-coast road beef," who put up 38 points.
(R) Randall Abbott (Dead RAbbotts) def. (W) Kyle Maistri (Alligator Army) 160-75:
With a bench score of 0 because of byes, Abbott (3-3) still managed the fourth-highest point total in the league this season. He gets mad props for starting Texas Tech's fill-in quarterback, Steven Sheffield, who went off for seven passing TDs and 60 fantasy points. Meanwhile, things have hit rock-bottom in Maistri-land (1-5), where boosters are calling for Kyle's head on a platter.
(R) Zach Rogan (FBS Zach) def. (R) Joshua Levy (Joshua Levy) 149-99.5:
In a matchup of the two most-creative team names, Rogan (3-3) comes out on top, thanks in large part to Kansas wideout Dezmon Briscoe (30 points). Even with his top-scorer, Iowa State running back Alexander Robinson, on the bench with 32 points, he had little trouble with Levy (2-4) who lost some points for his players facing weak opponents.
(W) Phil Kegler (Phil on the Hill) def. (R) David Medoff (Fourth and Short) 128-73:
Speaking of weak opponents, Kegler (4-2) feasted on Medoff's poor-management. Medoff (1-5) got more points from his bench (80.5) than his starters, while Kegler went with six Southeastern Conference starters to get the job done. Auburn running back Ben Tate came through with 31 points, keeping Kegler's spot in the four-team race in the West Division.
