While the weather can sometimes dictate our shoe choice, we've been fortunate enough to experience great weather in Gainesville this week. In fact, this weather provides us such versatility that while walking on campus today, I saw a variety of shoes from summer gladiators to boots in the matter of five minutes.
The amazing weather this week allows us to be experimental with all different kinds of shoes.
Check out the top three shoe styles for this fall:
Flat Oxfords
Oxfords bring this fall's menswear theme to shoes. For those of you that don't think you can pull off the boyfriend trend with your clothing, try to make a statement with your shoes.
Flat oxfords are a great alternative to ballet flats or Converse when walking around campus. They're comfortable, yet fashionable and act as a great accessory.
Like the boyfriend trend, keep the rest of your outfit flirty and feminine to balance out the look.
Over the knee
Over the knee boots are a very popular fashion that we will continue to see throughout the colder months. This trend has been seen all over the runway.
These boots look great with leggings, tights and skinny jeans. These flattering and slimming boots allow you to pull off a shorter skirt or dress since they provide a lot of leg coverage.
For a great date night outfit, try pairing over the knee boots with a girly dress and some tights.
Get some inspiration from celebrities such as Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway.
Ankle boots
This trend from last year is still going strong. The flat ankle boots are my favorite way to wear this trend. They're stylish, yet comfortable enough to wear on your commute to class.
Try pairing flat ankle boots with a girly dress and a cardigan. For a completely different look, try mixing them with some cut-off jean shorts and a t-shirt. These versatile boots also look great with skinny jeans, leggings and tights.
