Ignoring local church is the only solution

In response to Paul Murty’s column: Thank you for your intelligent column on Friday about ignoring the Dove World Outreach Center members when they preach intolerantly on campus.

 I agree with you completely; ignoring them is the only way to be rid of them. I am not a Christian, but I know the teachings of Jesus include much about tolerance.

Besides, the word “Christian” is derived from Christ. Thus, being Christ-like certainly means exhibiting tolerance and inclusion.

 Perhaps the Dove World Outreach Center should look closely at the life of the founder of their religion.

For that matter, perhaps we all should do the same with our own beliefs.
