Students interested in Student Government should go Reitz Union Room 284 Friday, Monday or Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Members of the Unite Party and the Student Alliance party will be conducting interviews and selecting new members to join their ranks.

Students should bring Gator 1 IDs and  resumes.

Senate President Ashton Charles, the Unite Party candidate for Student Body president, said 50 Senate seats need to be filled.

In the spring, senators are elected to represent their years and majors, she said, as opposed to the fall, when senators are elected based on where they live.

Charles said the Unite Party will be looking for students who want to play an active role on campus.

“We really want those passionate people who want to get involved and make a difference,” Charles said.

Ben Cavataro, Student Alliance candidate for Student Body president, said the party is looking for members from all classes, majors and interests.

“We’re looking for every Gator that really wants to make an impact on our university,” Cavataro said.
