Gray Horn said that no one would beat him for the Southeastern

Conference heptathlon title, and after a strong first day, it’s his

to lose.

Horn currently leads the multi-event competition with 3,212 points

after Friday’s action at the SEC Indoor Championship Meet in

Fayetteville, Ark.

The first four events of the heptathlon saw Horn win the 60-meter

dash (6.99 seconds) and post a personal-best mark in the long jump

(7.35m/24-1.50).

he’s never won this event — and do what he’s capable of doing,”

“As long as I can score some points for the Gators, I’m happy,”

Harrell said.

“For Brittany to come in as a freshman and score in a tough event

like that is a great indicator of her future here,” Holloway

said.
