March 31, 1978: Lums, a restaurant that used to be at 1621 SW 13th St., offers a deal of two eggs, two strips of bacon or hash browns and toast for 99 cents. It also offers a deal of a quarter–pound burger, fries and a beer or a soda for $1.50. Cedar River Seafood & Oyster Bar is in that location now.

March 27, 2009: Gainesville psychics get a boost in business thanks to a bad economy and worried students. Jesse Lucas, a seer at Wild Iris Books, says he had a client who needed answers so bad that she called him seven times in one day.

March 29, 2010: UFPD ends a concert by Slightly Stoopid early after several people are injured. As a result, Flavet Field is closed for concerts until it receives safety changes, including a fenced path through the field that police will use to get to the center of large crowds.
