Florida ended the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational, the final tournament of its fall schedule, on a flat note.

The Gators went 21-over Tuesday to come in 10th place at the par-72, 7,544-yard Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere, compiling a three-day score of 909 (295-305-309, +45).

The tournament result, UF’s worst finish this season, concludes a fall schedule in which the Gators finished in the top 10 in all four of their events, including a win at The Bake at the Ocean Course in South Carolina.

Texas (-8) ran away with the tournament title Tuesday, winning the event by a 26 strokes. Jordan Spieth (-11), a freshman for the Longhorns, also took home individual honors.

Eight of the nine teams that finished better than Florida are in the top 25, according to the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.

The Gators’ strongest performance at Isleworth came from T.J. Vogel. The junior went 2-under in his final round after firing three birdies and 14 pars against only one bogey.

Vogel, who finished the three-day event with a 219 (74-75-70, +3), tied with Michael Kim of California for 8th individually, and was the only Gator to finish in the top 20.

With the exception of Vogel, Florida’s golfers floundered Tuesday.

After an impressive 1-over second round Monday, junior Tyler McCumber went 8-over in his third round Tuesday, carding eight bogeys and a double bogey. McCumber (+14), who finished second individually at The Bake on Oct. 17-18, left Windermere in a four-way tie for 45th.

Junior Tommy Mou tallied an 8-over 80 after making no birdies against six bogeys and a double bogey. He ended his event 18-over.

Freshmen J.D. Tomlinson and Eric Banks continued to falter after impressive first rounds, going 7-over and 11-over on Tuesday, respectively.

The Gators will have about three months off until their next event, the JU Invitational at the PLAYERS Stadium Course in Jacksonville on Jan. 30-31.
