The beginning of the Red Hot Chili Peppers U.S. tour will kick off in Tampa Bay on March 29 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

As some of you may have heard, the Red Hot Chili Peppers had planned a U.S. 2012 tour for their latest album release, "I'm With You," which should have already been well underway. With dates in cities across the country, fans from all over await the infamous band's live performance.

However, due to an accident, lead vocalist Anthony Kiedis sustained several foot injuries and had to undergo surgery to "remove a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon," according to the band's news page. Nonetheless, Kiedis is predicted to make a quick and full recovery before they hit the road.

As a result, the start of their tour had to be rescheduled with later dates. The band originally planned to have their U.S. tour completed within just three months. Now, due to their already planned European summer tour, the new U.S. dates pan out all the way until the end of October. Click here for the full list of new dates.

Luckily for us here in the southeast corner of the country, the beginning of the tour will kick off in Tampa Bay on March 29 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Shows following will continue on their postponed dates in the nearby states up until their Memphis, Tenn., performance on April 12. The rest of the U.S., unfortunately, will have to wait until August when the band returns from the European part of their tour.

But don't fret just yet! In spite of all these unforeseen changes, there is still a chance to catch the talented group before they leave the states. If you can't make the few unsold-out shows on their list this spring, then consider this: Hangout Music Festival!
