A man was fatally shot Monday night by his roommate, who told authorities he was acting in self-defense.
At 11:45 p.m., Gainesville Police received a call from Jude Rizzo, 21, who said he had shot his roommate, Michael Crace, 20, in Apartment B at 2225 SW 39th Drive.
Police found Crace dead at the scene.
It appears he suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the chest and neck areas, according to police.
