Gainesville Police is looking for two men accused of robbing a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver Wednesday night.

Police have identified one suspect to be 28-year-old Jason L. Lynady, but as of Thursday night, investigators were still looking for both men, said GPD spokesman Ben Tobias.

The incident occurred at about 11 p.m. Wednesday when James Phillips was delivering a pizza to the Palms at Brook Valley apartment complex, located on the 1100 block of Northwest 39th Avenue.

While Phillips, 28, made his delivery, Lynady and another man walked up to him and allegedly stole his pizza, a pizza bag and $20 in cash, police said.

GPD officers and police dogs later arrived at the complex to look for Lynady and the other man but could not find them, Tobias said.

However, a GPD officer received a tip that Lynady earlier bragged to his friends about his plan for a pizza delivery robbery, Tobias said. Through the tip, police later found Lynady’s photograph.

During an interview, detectives presented the picture to Phillips, who identified Lynady as one of the men who robbed him, Tobias said.

Investigators are still trying to identify the second suspect.
