Have you ever wished that a pack of hot guys would run toward you, pick you up and take you to a castle where they’d fan you with big leafs and feed you grapes all day? Have you ever wished they did this in couture?
Well, if you were planning on visiting the various European fashion weeks, and expecting this to happen but weren’t able to make it, I am here to inform you that you didn’t miss a single thing. Pitti Uomo, Milan and Paris fashion weeks barely had any hot male models. It’s understandable that they are trying to do the whole “let’s choose real people” thing, but the least they could do is sprinkle in some eye candy.
Here are some of the few gems excavated from the endless menswear runway.
Bottega Veneta
Who doesn’t love a lad with gentle eyes? He looks like he’s gazing at you with eternal love and devotion. His hair looks soft, his face is clean and his sweater collar is popped. What more could you ask for? This look actually seems like something a man could wear in the real world. He’s totally gorgeous, and he looks like someone you could meet at an Ivy League school.
Diesel Black Gold
This model goes by the name of Miles McMillan. He’s in his early twenties, and by the looks of what I’ve seen on Instagram, he’s living it up. Every day he cooks something new and delicious on a beach in an island somewhere fabulous. His gorgeous jaw, subtle but intense eyes and long, brown curly locks make him the perfect island boyfriend that can transition to the streets of the city, especially in that waterproof coat with fur trimmings.
DSquared2
This guy stood out the most from the DSquared2 runway because he truly owns the look. The hat is kind of silly, but the tan scarf goes really well with his complexion and the green sweater makes the details on his tie pop. He has a sexy jaw, he has the bold rimmed glasses working for him and he is just rocking that runway look. He also seems like a man you could meet in real life.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Kelly Cutrone, one of fashion’s PR queens, once said that every young woman in her 20s should have an affair with a French guy. This garçon’s lean build, curly hair and pink lips make him the perfect candidate for a rendezvous. The neckline on his sweater and those gloves give the impression that he comes from old money, and he will soon take over the lead role in a high-powered company. With any luck, it’ll be in the Champagne business.
John Varvatos
This guy could walk past someone and slice him or her into little pieces with how sharp he is. The mega pronounced jaw, awesome nose and pouty mouth all come together to produce a smooth, yet bold look that adds to the prominence of his allure. Grey is a color that will never fail any man, and this shade of winter grey makes him the shiny, futuristic art sculpture in a collection of dusty 17th century oil-canvases.
Missoni
With his luscious blond locks and a face that could be dated back to the time of the Vikings, this man looks like a surfer/lumber jack who got lost on the runway on his way to a handbag club meeting. There are so many different looks going on with his profile that it’s hard to figure out whether this man models ironically (and banks) or whether someone told him he could be the new face of fashion. The cherry on top is that a man with this physique can rock a handbag and make it work. Confidence is everything.
