Stuff your belly and rock your body to live music for a good cause at the Cymplify Food Truck Rally Friday.

Benefitting the Alachua County Humane Society, the rally will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Cymplify Central, a co-operative of three independently owned businesses, 5408 NW Eighth Ave.

The food truck rally’s goal is to help Alachua County become a no-kill county by 2015, said Chase Doran, a 21-year-old UF marketing junior who helped organize the event.

Grilled Cheese Wagon, Humble Pie, Sizzle Wagon and Go-Go Stuff Yourself will attend. Foodies can enjoy performances by Stillskin, Michael McArthur and Paul Teerlinck while chowing down.

In addition to food truck fees, 10 percent of the proceeds from the family- and pet-friendly event will go toward the cause. Pet owners are encouraged to bring leashes.

Participants can also capture the day’s smiles in a photo booth and stock up on raffle prizes at the event.

Brad Brooks, a Cymplify partner and head of the rally, looks forward to attracting good people, he said.

“I really like the idea of connecting it to a good cause,” he said.
