3 DIY Facials with grocery store ingredients

First impressions are everything, some may contradict with this statement, but in all reality, the way that you are remembered by a person at first glance will more than likely follow you throughout the rest of you and that person's relationship. So, today, I will be focusing on how to keep that killer face of yours flawless and with a newly beautiful complexion, who wouldn't want to get to know your kick ass personality too?

ALL SKIN TYPES:

Papayas. Not only are they freakin' delicious tropical fruits that make me envision sandy beaches and pina coladas, but they are also very helpful in brightening your overall complexion. Health and beauty expert, Louisa Maccan-Graves states that the enzymes in papaya exfoliate, repair sun damage, diminish age spots and smooth skin. Your skin will look brighter, with a more polished finish and here's how:

  1. First and foremost, wash yo face!
  2. Cut up the papaya and get rid of the seeds and pulp
  3. Rub the inside of the papaya on your face in circular motions
  4. Let sit for 15-20 minutes
  5. Rinse with warm water and repeat twice a week

DRY SKIN TYPE:

Avocado's are exceptionally helpful when making guacamole (even though I detest that green stuff, but I've been told) but what I bet you didn't know is that they're also known for helping with your dry skin problem. When combined with a little honey and coconut oil, you will experience a replenishing moisture that will help heal all of your raw areas. How to bro:

  1. Cleeean yo faceee
  2. Prepare 1/2 of an avocado for treatment (if you're into that nonsense, you can eat the other half), 2 tablespoons of honey and 1/2 a teaspoon of coconut oil
  3.  Mash the 1/2 of the avocado you're not going to munch on until it's creamy
  4. Combine the other ingredients in a small dish with the avocado
  5. Apply to face, avoiding eyes
  6. Leave on for about 15-20 minutes
  7. Rinse with warm water
  8. Repeat once every week

OILY SKIN TYPE

Me gusta fresas. If you are like me and pretend to know other languages, you know I just said I like strawberries... I think. I was born and raised in Plant City, Fl, which is the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World. Proud? Absolutely not, they're just really freakin delish dipped in chocolate. Thankfully, though, strawberries aren't just good as a snack, they're also helpful for those of you out there with oily skin probs. Strawberries contain salicylic acid, which is a key ingredient in every face wash, and lemons tighten pores and get rid of dead skin. I personally have pretty oily skin most of the time, so I can attest to what I'm about to share with you. How to fix your oily skin with fruit!:

  1. Do I really have to say the first step again?
  2. Gather your ingredients:
    1. 1/4 cup mashed strawberries
    2. 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
    3. 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
    4. 1 tablespoon honey
  3. Combine all ingredients until spreadable
  4. Apply evenly all over face and let sit for 8-10 minutes
  5. Rinse with warm water
  6. Enjoy da results
