The battle that is class registration

Everyone knows the struggle of picking classes.  It can be a very stressful time making sure you get the classes you need and  making sure you are not failing college and whatnot. Since this dreaded time is upon on us, here are a few tips for surviving it.

Make sure you are on track

This would be a good time to go ahead and check ISIS and make sure that your degree Audit looks a bit presentable. Have you taken your foreign language credit yet?? Have you got all of your gen eds out of the way?? Have you ever even looked at your degree audit ever before?? Do you even know what a degree audit is? Maybe you should just go see a guidance counselor…

Refresh

Once you finally get your degree audit checked out and it is finally your turn to pick classes, the best advice that I can give you is to make sure that your finger is glued to that fresh button, because I can tell you that picking classes is a virtual war. Students all over campus are gunning for the same class that you need and they are NOT afraid to snatch it out of your hands when you are just a click away from getting it. If picking class was down in person, I could guarantee you that there would be casualties.  Picking are picking up and dropping classes like crazy so be strong, station yourself in front of your computer screen and refresh, refresh, refresh!

Have back ups ready

In the very, very, very likely case that you don’t get a class that you want or, you are going to need to make sure that you have back ups ready. So when you don’t get that cools art class that you want, just remember that there is always… economics or something.

Picking classes can be hard, you may find yourself crying, wondering if you are in the right major and thinking that maybe stripping is better than continuing a college career, but if you follow these tips, you will till probably feel like that way. Good luck.
