The voice of an angel: Michael Bublé

When you think of chocolate fountains and velvet, what do you think of? If you didn't answer "the voice of Michael Bublé" you're wrong.

Recently- and by that I mean a mere week and a half ago, I had the greatest night of my life. What could I possibly have done? I went to see Michael Bublé in concert, that's what I did. And it was wonderful.

I can't possibly explain the love I have for him. It all started with "Everything". I heard it on the bus many moons ago on the way to school- and it was love at first listen. Eventually, I ended up in the possession of every last one of his CDs, with every one of the songs he sung memorized.

The concert was in downtown Orlando on a Wednesday night, so we left after our classes were over and went to our respective homes to get ready. On the way to the concert, we listened to Michael Bublé. On the streets of Orlando, the stores played Michael Bublé. It was like every single one of my dreams was coming true. Our seats were in the nosebleed section (because, lets be honest, tickets to Amway events can be crazy expensive, and I'm not going to spend my savings account on a concert- but what I would have given to be up there with Michael). And anyways, my mom bought my ticket and came with us because she's awesome and does cool things like that. Nevertheless, our seats ended up okay because, at least we got to see him in the flesh. Plus we were up against a wall so we had a backrest.

His opening act was an a cappella group in denial. They called themselves Naturally 7 and said what they did was "vocal play" or something along the lines of that. Actually I looked it up. It's vocal play, I was right. Regardless of their thinking we would be fooled if they called it vocal play, they were phenomenal. Their covers of oldies were truly amazing. They were very talented a cappella artists (vocal play isn't a real thing guys, come on. It can't be). The problem was the whole time they played I assumed they were like The Trebles from Pitch Perfect and their leader was a sass master. This assumption is probably very wrong, but hey, I can't help it.

By the time Bublé got on the stage, I almost couldn't contain my excitement. He started off with "Fever" and I'm pretty sure his performance gave me a fever. That's how wonderful he was. His sex appeal and perfectness oozed out of his pores and from his mouth and traveled all the way up to the nosebleed section so we could enjoy it. And subsequently swoon. Never have I ever heard a voice that was so perfect live. It was literally like the listening equivalent of melted Hershey bars- smooth and delicious. It was velvet for my ears. We obnoxiously belted out every single song whilst the couples around us (there were only couples, I kid you not. Then there were the obnoxious girls and my poor mother who had to be associated with us) planned our murders. But I paid good money. Well my mom did. And I would not let her down, darn it!

My conclusion after attending this concert is that Michael Bublé is every bit as perfect as you would imagine if you're as obsessed with him as I am. He's insanely talented, he's funny, and he hugs children who have signs that say it's their birthday. It should've been me. It was my eighteenth birthday. That's way more important than a seventh birthday, am I right? But I found a way to forgive Michael for not wishing me a happy birthday, and enjoyed his eargasmic singing. If you ever get a chance to go to one of his concerts, you need to hit that up. It will change your life. And hopefully your mother is as cool as mine and will buy your ticket. If not…sucks to suck. Thanks mom!
