Guard Ian Silberman (77) blocks for quarterback Jeff Driskel against Vanderbilt in 2012. Silberman will transfer from Florida and will play out his final season of eligibility elsewhere next season.

Six football players will leave the Gators to seek opportunities with other programs next season, Florida announced Thursday.

Sophomore tight end Kent Taylor, redshirt freshmen defensive back/fullback Rhaheim Ledbetter and offensive lineman Quinteze Williams, and freshmen quarterback Max Staver and offensive lineman Trevon Young will transfer to other schools. Redshirt junior offensive lineman Ian Silberman, who graduates this weekend, also announced he will play elsewhere during his final year of eligibility.

Silberman received the most playing time of the group, starting the final four games of the season due to extensive injuries on the offensive line.

Taylor, a Land O’ Lakes native, came to Florida as a four-star recruit and the No. 1 tight end in the Class of 2011, according to Rivals.com. He caught two passes for 5 yards as a freshman, including a touchdown against Louisville in the 2013 Sugar Bowl.

Ledbetter, who came to Florida as a defensive back, moved to fullback before the season began. However, he played in only two games all season and did not record a carry.

Williams, a three-star recruit according to Rivals.com, did not play a down for Florida in 2013.

After Staver had a conversation with Gators coach Will Muschamp late Thursday afternoon, Florida announced his transfer. A 6-foot-6 three-star recruit out of Brentwood, Tenn., Staver did not see a snap for Florida in 2013 while he redshirted.

Young, a three-star offensive lineman in the Class of 2013, plans to transfer to Eckerd College to play basketball, according to a Gator Country report.

Landon Watnick contributed to this report.
