For your entertainment: A post-midterm celebratory binge-watching list

Changing leaves! Crisp weather! Beautiful blue skies! It’s October, fall is here! Just kidding, we live in Florida.

For us, October just means slightly less suffocating temperatures and (gasp!) midterms. You can almost smell the anxiety and impending emotional breakdowns in the bus-polluted air!

Luckily, the trying times of mid-October will only last a few days and you can cruise through the rest of the month into November before finals kick in. What to do, you ask?

Well, binge watch as many shows as possible, of course! Here are some of the best options:

“Broad City”

Abbi and Ilana are everything you could ever want in TV best friends. They’re hilariously absurd, awkward and amazing. Their antics, including an apartment lock out and a hurricane party with a bathroom disaster, will have you laughing so hard you won’t have to do abs at the gym.

Based in New York, you can think of it as a more realistic and funnier “Girls.” Head over to Comedy Central to watch all 10 episodes.

“Game of Thrones”

Has there been a more raved about show in the past few years? Maybe “Breaking Bad," but we’ll get to that later. This epic tale of a multiplayer fight to rule the Seven Kingdoms and sit on the Iron Throne could not be more captivating.

You will choose favorites, and they will die. But don’t worry, you’ll ease the heartbreak by rooting for another amazing character who will then probably die, too. I’m not selling this well.

Wait! There are dragons! And wolves! And incredibly hot actors who are half-naked most of the time! Nailed it. Steal your roommate’s parent’s HBOGO password, and watch all four seasons before the story continues.

“Parks and Recreation”

This workplace mockumentary will have you laughing so hard you’re crying one second and then actually crying at the incredibly heartwarming story lines the next. Amy Poehler’s Leslie Knope leads a team of hilarious government workers and Pawnee residents, including Chris Pratt!

You will laugh and fall in love with every character as they pretend to not care for each other and tear up every time they show otherwise (pretty much every episode). You will also probably finish all six seasons on Netflix in a week and a half.

“Breaking Bad”

Can we even discuss TV without bringing up this now-iconic show? The answer is no. Listen, I’m not judging you if you haven’t already devoured every mind blowing episode of this show (okay, I’m slightly judging), but now is the time to set things right.

I mean, Imma let you finish, but this show had the greatest ending of all time. Watch all five seasons on Netflix, and then stop to re-evaluate all your prior TV-watching experiences. It is that good.
