On Tuesday’s third and final round of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, Florida’s women’s golf team looked to improve on their fifth place standing.

A strong performance would have solidified themselves a top spot in the leaderboards.

Instead, they went in a different direction, struggling throughout the final round.

Florida finished the tournament in 10th place, 31 strokes behind first place Baylor.

"Today was a disappointing finish to the tournament," coach Emily Glaser said in a release.

"We started off flat and we were never able to recover."

However, Glaser is still keeping a positive mindset moving forward.

"Today was just one of many rounds we will play this spring and it alone does not define us," she said.

"We will use this trip to get better and be a stronger team."

Freshman Taylor Tomlinson, who entered the day with a team best score of +3, finished Tuesday’s round six-over-par, bringing her tournament total to +9, putting her in a tie for 21st in the leaderboards.

This was her second top-25 finish this season.

Junior Ursa Orehek finished her day at five-over-par, moving her three round total to +14, placing her in a tie for 44th in the individual leaderboards.
