This project is for those of you that do not mind getting a little bit dirty!

I have wanted to do this for such a long time after seeing it in Princess Diaries, and I finally had the opportunity. This project is extremely fun and a good way to let loose and forget about all your stress. You can put these canvases up on a wall to brighten up a room and show your artistic skills.

I have to admit, this has definitely been my favorite project so far.

What you will need:

  • Stretch canvas in whichever size you want (But I will say the bigger it is, the more fun you will have. Bought mine at Joann Fabric)
  • Latex balloons (Bought at the Dollar Tree)
  • Any kind of craft paint (I bought acrylic paint at Walmart)
  • Darts (Bought at Walmart)
Step 1

Step 1: Pour paint into your balloons. (I recommend blowing air into the balloons before pouring the paint into them)

Step 2

Step 2: Blow up your balloons with the paint inside (Warning, you will taste the paint. It is not as bad as it sounds, I promise)

Step 3

Step 3: Tack on the balloons to the canvas

Step 4

Step 4: Stand back and throw the darts!

Step 5

Just a reminder, this project can get a little messy, so I suggest getting a tarp or plastic tablecloth to make sure you do not get paint everywhere and wear clothes that you do not hold dear because paint will splatter onto them.

My roommate and I had so much fun with this; we ended up making two different canvases to put up in our apartment. I am sure once you get going on this project, you are going to feel the same way and want to make more than one.

Have fun!
