Gainesville Police arrested two men early Wednesday morning after they reportedly attacked a man in the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

At about 4:30 a.m., Robin Bodin, 32, and Robert Bodin, 46, confronted a man sitting in the lobby of the center, according to police reports.

According to the reports, the brothers walked from the emergency room and talked with someone about their frustrations with the hospital.

Robert then began to argue with a nearby man Robert felt was giving dirty looks.

The victim then stood up and Robert walked toward him and said they could, "take it outside like men," according to the reports.

Robin reportedly started walking to join his brother and the man raised his hands and backed up.

When Robin started kicking chairs, Robert stood in front of him and spit on the man.

According to police reports, the man stepped back again and Robin swung at him several times, causing red marks on his face and head.

Robin later told police he was protecting his brother, and Robert said he spit after the man called him a p---y, according to the reports.

Neither brother returned requests for comment.

Police arrested the brothers on charges of battery and took them to the Alachua County Jail, where they were released Wednesday afternoon on their own recognizance.
