Gainesville Police arrested two Georgia men early Monday morning after police said they had drugs and possible tools for forgery.

At about 2:10 a.m. Monday, Torrence Miller, 22, and Yumahann Brown, 29, parked in a secluded industrial park in the 1600 block of Northwest 55th Place, according to a police report.

An officer slowly approached the car and saw Miller run toward it and get inside.

The officer turned on his lights and the car crept forward before stopping, according to the report.

Police found open mail where the car was parked before moving, and a mailbox was open 15 feet away.

An officer smelled marijuana and searched the car, where he found less than .1 grams of weed and a Gainesville man’s mail, according to the report.

He also found a laptop and a printer in a duffel bag, which, according to the report, are often used with stolen mail to forge checks or documents.

After arresting Miller and Brown, a police car’s camera recorded the men laughing, and Brown said, "Once they set that bail, I’m out of this motherf****r," according to the report.

Police arrested Miller and Brown on charges for loitering and prowling.

Miller also received a charge for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities took the men to the Alachua County Jail where, as of press time, they both remain in lieu of $15,000 bonds.
