Artisans and craftsmen from all over Alachua County will come together Saturday to showcase their work at the One Love Cafe Craft Show.

Virginia Lynn-Brinson, the show’s creator, will bring together local vendors such as Origami Owl, The Pampered Chef, Usborne Books & More and The Bumpkin Patch will be presenting and selling their unique goods and services. Goods sold by the artisans include handcrafted jewelry, original fashion pieces and handmade home decor.

Lynn-Brinson is hosting this craft show for the second time this year and said she feels very passionate about its mission. She said she believes in helping her community by bringing these local businesses to light.

Although patrons could buy these products through Amazon or Etsy, she said, she believes buying locally helps grow the local economy. This is the ultimate goal of the craft show.

The event will be held at One Love Cafe, located at 4989 NW 40th Place, and will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food will be served by the cafe, which is known for its sandwiches and sliders as well as its selection of local brews.

Lynn-Brinson said the local artists are excited to get their names out into the world and are hoping for a large turnout to put their talents on display. She urged the Gainesville community to come out and show its support for these homegrown establishments and for the local economy.
