Those looking to keep the party going after Saturday’s football festivities will be able to head downtown for a journey back in time to the ’50s and ’60s.

The Wooly is hosting Under the Boardwalk, a ’50s-and-’60s-themed event on Saturday. This is the second beach-themed party to be held at the venue this year, after it hosted a Beach Ball party in May.

“When we did the Beach Ball, we had an amazing turnout with outfits,” Audrey Dingeman, an event manager at the Wooly, said. While dressing up is not mandatory, the event gives guests the opportunity to be creative and have fun with their clothes.

Under the Boardwalk will include a ring toss, a large lifeguard cutout for a photo booth and a snack buffet that drives the ’50s and ’60s beach theme home with mini corn dogs, saltwater taffy and carnival-inspired foods. DJ Cam will be on the decks playing ’50s and ’60s music as well as current hits.

The party kicks off at 9 p.m. and will go on until 2 a.m. Cover is $5 at the door, and the event is for ages 21 and up.

“You can have some fun with friends and maybe make some new ones, too,” said Anthony Verdi, the event’s co-host.
