A dead man was found just after midnight Friday on Sante Fe’s Northwest Campus, according to campus police.

The man was found by a staff member leaving the College’s Fine Arts Hall, according to a release from the Santa Fe Police Department. Law enforcement and medical officials pronounced the man dead shortly after arriving on the scene.

The release does not say the man’s age, name or if law enforcement suspects foul play.

“There does not appear to be any risk or danger to the college community,” said SFPD Chief Ed Book.

The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident and will release more details when available, according to the release
