A shooting Tuesday night at Wawa on 1007 E. University Ave. left one man dead.
At about 9 p.m., Gainesville Police Department officers responded to the gas station about a person being shot. Wallace Lee, a Gainesville resident, was found by officers lying on the ground with what looked like a gunshot wound to the head.

He was also shot at the Wawa gas station and has since been released by the hospital, GPD spokesperson Graham Glover said.
According to a second press release Wednesday afternoon, officers arrested Hartsfield for the shooting.
Hartsfield has been charged with murder, attempted felony murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The incident is an ongoing investigation as detectives continue pursuing leads and interviews with people directly involved in the shooting.
