Florida senior Jasmine Moore swept the jumping events at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Indoor Championships, holding the leading mark in both this year internationally.
Florida’s men’s and women’s track and field teams finished third overall at the NCAA Indoor Championships to conclude the indoor season. The men’s team earned a total of 33 points; the women had 45 points. Moore won the Gators’ only gold medals of the weekend.
Moore earned the first title Friday with a distance of 7.03 meters in the women’s long jump — a personal best and facility record at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Junior Gator Claire Bryant took third with a personal best of 6.88 meters.
Redshirt senior Sterling Lester placed fourth in the women’s pentathlon. Her performance was the second best in school history behind only 2022 Southeastern Conference Indoor Pentathlon Champion and former Gator Anna Hall. Lester earned five points, contributing to the lead Florida women’s team held on the first day of the championships.
Moore earned her second title Saturday during the women’s triple jump. She jumped another personal best and facility best of 15.12 meters.
Redshirt senior Pjai Austin took third in the men’s 60-meter, his first individual medal at an NCAA Championship.
Junior Robert Gregory produced a new personal best and school record in the men’s 200-meter. He placed third with a time of 20.22 seconds.
Junior Ryan Willie also had a personal best in the 400-meter. His 44.93-second time is the fastest time in the world this year.
Junior Talitha Diggs took bronze in the women’s 400-meter. She has earned a medal in every NCAA 400-meter she has competed in — both indoors and outdoors.
The Gators’ outdoor season begins March 23 with a two-day meet in Tallahassee against Florida State.
