Gervon Dexter Sr. joins Anthony Richardson as the next Gator to get drafted in the 2023 National Football League Draft.

The Chicago Bears picked Dexter with the 53rd overall pick in the second round of the draft.

The 6-foot-6-inch, 310-pound defensive lineman spent three seasons at UF before he declared for the draft. Dexter tallied 55 tackles and two sacks in his 2022 campaign.

The interior defensive lineman tested well at the 2023 NFL Combine. Next Gen Stats listed Dexter as the seventh overall defensive tackle and the 11th-most athletic. He finished in the top five among defensive linemen in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump and 3-cone drill.

He now joins the Bears defensive line room consisting of Andrew Billings, Trevis Gipson, DeMarcus Walker and six other players.
