Orlando Christian Prep shooting guard Isaiah Brown has committed to the Florida Gators recruiting class of 2024 Sunday, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.
He is the first player from the class of 2024 to commit to UF head coach Todd Golden.
Brown chose the Gators over 14 schools, including Georgia, Florida Atlantic, Kennesaw State, Florida A&M, Missouri.
The 6-foot-3-inch guard is a native of Orlando, Florida, and has quickly turned into a four-star athlete in his junior season with OCP. As a junior, Brown led his team to a 25-4 record and averaged 18.6 points per game.
Florida offered Brown a scholarship April 30, but he never had an official visit with the Gators. Brown is ranked No. 112 nationally in his class, according to 247sports composite rankings — making him the highest-ranked commit during Golden’s tenure at UF.
The two other high school players currently committed to the Gators are from the class of 2023: Perkiomen power forward Thomas Haugh and Australian National Basketball Academy center Alex Condon.
