Four Gators players entered or are set to enter the Transfer Portal Wednesday.

Sophomore safety Kamari Wilson and freshman defensive lineman Will Norman are set to enter the Transfer Portal, as first reported by Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.

Wilson came to Florida with a lot of hype as he was the highest-ranked player in the Gators’ 2022 recruiting class — making him head coach Billy Napier’s first marquee signing at UF.

The top 50 recruit appeared in all 13 games for Florida in his first year.

However, in his sophomore season, Wilson spent the beginning of the season battling for playing time with freshmen safeties Jordan Castell and Bryce Thornton, as well as junior R.J. Moten and sophomore Miguell Mitchell.

He was not listed on the depth chart for UF’s Week Four game against Charlotte and didn’t make an appearance for the rest of the season.

Wilson played just three games in 2023 and didn’t make a single start. In 16 games at UF, he’s recorded one pass breakup and one forced fumble along with 40 total tackles.

Norman was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, according to 247Sports. He appeared in four games in his freshman season in 2023 and made one tackle against McNeese State Sept. 9.

Later in the day, sophomore receiver Caleb Douglas became the latest young Gator to enter the Transfer Portal, first reported by On3.

Douglas started the season for Florida, but an injury against Kentucky Sept. 30 ended his season after just five games. He caught 11 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown this season. Douglas played a reserve role as a freshman with 10 catches for 175 yards and two scores a year ago.

The Missouri City, Texas, product signed with Florida as part of Napier’s first recruiting class in 2021. He was a three-star prospect and the 464th-ranked player in the country.
