Florida’s strongest performances came in the field events. Senior Abraham Sargent placed 1st in the men’s javelin throw with his personal record distance of 77.46 meters. This marked 5th on UF's All-Time Top 10 List and 6th in the NCAA for 2024. Senior Melanie Welsing placed 3rd in the women’s javelin throw with a personal best throw of 30.72. 

Senior William Gross IV’s 66.61 meter throw earned  1st place in the men’s hammer throw, as well as 6th place on the UF All-Time Top 10 List and 6th in the NCAA for 2024. Sophomore Imani Washington placed 3rd in the women’s hammer throw with a distance of 54.67. 

The Gators locked up 3rd through 5th place in the women’s shot put with performances by sophomores Gracelyn Leiseth (15.81), Imani Washinington (14.26) and Da’Moni Kelly (13.88). Senior Calvin Bostic placed 3rd in the men’s shot put with a distance of 15.83 meters. 

Florida tallied two more personal records in the women’s discus throw. Gracelyn Leiseth and Da’Moni Kelly earned their records with  respective throws of 49.97 meters and 49.32 meters to earn 4th and 6th place. Sophomore Akari Isaac secured 5th place with her throw of 49.88 meters. 

Sophomore Anthya Charlton placed 2nd in the women’s long jump with a distance of 6.38 meters. Freshman India Alix followed her in 8th place with a distance of 5.77. 

Both 4th and 5th place in the men’s long jump were secured by senior Michael Holloway II (6.87 meters) and sophomore Jordan McCants (6.75 meters). Holloway also claimed 6th place in the men’s triple jump with a distance of 14.79 meters.  

Alix earned a personal record and 3rd place in the women’s triple jump with a distance of 11.99 meters. 

In the men’s 100 meter, junior Ryan McCloskey placed 3rd with a time of 10.61 seconds. 

Melanie Welsing also competed in running events and placed 12th in the women’s 100 meter hurdles (14.50). Senior Joseph Stravato ran a personal best 14.47 second 110 meter hurdle and earned 6th place. 

Sophomore Eoin McNally placed 3rd in the men’s 800 meter with a time of 1:53.09. He was joined by fellow sophomores Michael Fiore (1:54.00) and Jonathan Pitchford (1:54.22) in 6th and 7th place. Senior Ashley Klingenberg ran a 2:16.60 women’s 800 and earned 11th place in the women’s 800 meter. 

The 4th, 5th and 7th places were secured by Florida in the women’s 1500 meter. Junior Liian Winborn (4:32.35) and freshman Caroline Bauer (4:35.58) set personal records in the 4th and 5th places. Senior Rylee Pustilnik ran a 4:42.37 to earn 7th place. 

The Gator’s final personal record of the meet was set by sophomore Orlando Cicilioni in the men’s 1500 meter. His time was 4:10.15 and he placed 5th.

Both the men’s and women’s 4x400 relays were canceled due to weather conditions. Florida only sent a men’s team composed of all redshirt sophomores Michael Fiore, Jonathan Pitchford, Eoin McNally and Ethan Geiger. 

The Gators will host their first meet of the 2024 Outdoor season next on March 29-30 at the Percy Beard Track.
