Early signing day: Live updates on Florida's commits

Jon Sumrall and the Gators have landed official commitments from 19 players

Through Early Signing Day Dec. 3-5, Florida secured 19 official commitments. That ranks the Gators' 2026 Class No. 13 in the nation and No. 7 in the Southeastern Conference, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the remainder of the signing period.

Dec. 5:

The only unsigned Gator commits are four-star safety Kaiden Hall and three-star tight end Kekua Aumua. Hall will sign with Florida today, but Aumua is projected to flip to Washington.

Amuma, a three-star from Kahuku, Hawai'i, will sign with the Cougars at some point Friday, the final day of the signing period.

Safety Kaiden Hall:

A four-star safety from Milton, Florida, Hall officially signed with Florida on Friday, his birthday. He chose the Gators despite late pushes from other premier programs, including Alabama.

In the 2025 season, Hall played quarterback and safety at Milton High School. He had 25 total tackles, three interceptions and two pass deflections. He is the No. 269 overall player and the No. 25 safety in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Dec. 4:

On the second day of signing day, Florida has secured two big commitments in the defensive secondary.

Former Florida commit Carsyn Baker has signed with Texas A&M. Baker, the No. 221 overall player and No. 16 running back in the 2026 Class, decommitted from UF Tuesday.

Cornerback CJ Hester:

From Cocoa, Florida, four-star cornerback CJ Hester chose Florida over numerous programs, including Georgia, Syracuse and Iowa. Over his past three seasons at Cocoa High School, Hester has snagged seven interceptions and has deflected 21 passes.

The 6-foot-1 defensive back is the No. 375 overall player and the No. 40 cornerback in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Safety Dylan Purter:

A four-star from Tuskegee, Alabama, safety Dylan Purter officially flipped his commitment from Louisiana State to Florida Thursday. The 6-foot-1 defensive back also chose UF over Kentucky, another team that made a late push for his services.

Purter racked up three sacks and two interceptions for Booker T. Washington High School in 2024 and picked off another pass in 2025. He is the No. 181 overall player and the No. 15 safety in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Dec. 3:

On the opening day of signing day, Florida has secured 15 official commitments.

Only three more committed members of its 2026 Class have not officially signed yet: Defensive back CJ Hester, defensive back Kaiden Hall and tight end Nekua Aumua.

Hester remains undecided on a signing date but will not sign Wednesday. Hall is planning to sign on Friday, and Swamp247 reports he will officially sign with UF at some point in the next three days. Aumua is planning to sign either Thursday or Friday.

Two other targets include safety Dylan Purter, an LSU commit. He is signing Thursday at 6:30 p.m. ET. Another target is running back Carsyn Baker, who decommitted from UF on Tuesday but has not ruled out a return to the Gators. He will sign at 10:00 a.m. ET Thursday.

Wide receiver Davian Groce:

Florida's highest ranked commit thus far per the Rivals Industry Rankings, four-star wide receiver Davian Groce chose the Gators over 28 other schools, including Oklahoma, Baylor and Houston.

From Frisco, Texas, the 6-foot-1 wideout has been ultra-productive in his 40 game high school career. He's racked up 273 rushes for 2,320 yards and 26 touchdowns, and has caught 135 passes for 2,601 yards and 27 touchdowns. He ranks as the No. 67 overall player and the No. 10 wide receiver in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Interior offensive lineman G'Nivre Carr:

Originally from Ocala before becoming a product of Bradenton's IMG Academy, G'Nivre Carr chose Florida over 39 other programs, including Georgia and Tennessee. 

Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 336 pounds, Carr is the No. 525 overall player and the No. 47 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Defensive lineman Kendall Guervil:

A four-star recruit, Kendall Guervil of Fort Myers, Florida, chose UF over 27 other programs, which included Texas and Florida State. The 6-foot-4.5, 315 pounder is coming off of tears of his ACL and meniscus suffered early in 2025, but he was productive in 2023 and 2024.

Guervil is the No. 204 overall player and the No. 25 defensive lineman in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Quarterback Will Griffin:

One of the top high school signal-callers in the nation, four-star Will Griffin officially committed to Florida over 24 other programs, including Georgia, Ohio State and Michigan. From Tampa, Griffin has played 64 games at Jesuit High School, completing 62% of his passes for 12,299 yards, 143 touchdowns and 43 interceptions. He has also added 759 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

The 6-foot-3, 230 pound quarterback is the all-time leading passer in the Tampa Bay Area and has participated in events such as the Elite 11 Finals and the Under Armour All-America Game. Griffin ranks as the No. 243 overall player and the No. 16 quarterback in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Wide receiver Marquez Daniel:

From Tuskegee, Alabama, four-star wide receiver Marquez Daniel chose the Gators over Auburn and 27 other programs. Standing 6-foot-5, Daniel has scored 18 touchdowns for Booker T. Washington High School over the past two seasons.

Daniel is the No. 272 overall player and the No. 45 wide receiver in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Edge rusher KJ Ford:

Another premier pass-rushing recruit, four-star KJ Ford of Duncanville, Texas picked the Gators over 37 other schools, including Ohio State, Texas A&M and Alabama. A 2025 Under Armour All-American game participant, Ford racked up 12 tackles for loss and five sacks in just seven games in 2025.

The 6-foot-3.5 tall, 245 pound pass rusher is ranked the No. 148 overall player and the No. 18 edge rusher in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy:

One of the most highly-touted recruits in the 2026 Class, four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy officially chose Florida on Wednesday. He received 36 total offers and signed with the Gators over Texas and Louisiana State.

A 2024 Under Armour All-American game participant, the 6-foot-6 McCoy has been dominant at Tupelo High School in Mississippi. In 2025, he racked up 56 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and seven sacks. McCoy is the No. 155 overall player and the No. 17 defensive lineman in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Interior offensive lineman Desmond Green:

A three-star recruit out of St. Stephen, South Carolina, Desmond Green chose the Gators over 19 other programs, such as Georgia and South Carolina. Listed at 6-foot-4.5 and 354 pounds, Green is the No. 832 overall player and the No. 78 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell:

From St. Petersburg, Florida, three-star offensive tackle Chancellor Campbell picked UF over 17 other schools, which included Georgia and Penn State. Listed at 6-foot-8 and 295 pounds, Campbell has been a force at Lakewood High School. He is the No. 579 overall player and the No. 44 offensive tackle in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Cornerback CJ Bronaugh:

One of the top defensive backs in the 2026 Class, four-star CJ Bronaugh chose the Gators over 26 other programs, including Florida State, Ohio State and Nebraska. From Winter Garden, Florida, Bronaugh has shined at Windermere High School and was named the MVP of the defensive backs at the 2025 Under Armour Next Camp.

Bronaugh, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 186 pounds, is also a three-time Florida state champion sprinter. He ran a 10.34 100-meter dash and captured back-to-back Florida 1A titles in that event in 2023 and 2024. Bronaugh is the No. 98 player and No. 11 cornerback in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Offensive tackle Javarii Luckas:

Luckas, from Belle Glade, Florida, is related to former Florida running backs Fred Taylor and Kelvin Taylor, and now, he becomes a Gator himself. A three-star recruit that ranks No. 1094 overall in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings, Luckas stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 305 pounds.

Athlete Heze Kent:

Heze Kent, a four-star athlete, officially signed with Florida after being pursued by 38 programs. He chose the Gators over Miami, Florida State and Texas. Kent is ranked as the No. 264 player in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

A high school tight end listed at 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds, Kent is projected to move to either the offensive or defensive line in college. As a tight end, he has been productive at Brunswick High School in Georgia. Over the past two seasons, he has scored 32 total touchdowns over 22 games.

Linebacker Malik Morris:

From Lakeland, Florida, Malik Morris is a four-star linebacker who received 32 offers and chose UF over Miami and Texas A&M. He was named the Ledger All-County Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. That year, he recorded 95 tackles and nine sacks in nine games.

Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 225 pounds, Morris is the No. 304 overall player and No. 17 linebacker in this years' class, per the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Interior offensive lineman Corey Brown:

From Orlando, the younger brother of Vernell Brown III, Corey, will walk-on for the Gators.

Athlete Justin Williams:

Four-star athlete Justin Williams was the second Gator to sign on Wednesday. A Gainesville native, Williams has been ultra-productive in his time at Buchholz High School. In 2025, he ran 76 times for 492 yards and nine touchdowns while catching 64 passes for 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns. In 2024, he became the first Florida high school player to have 1,000 yards rushing and receiving since Devin Hester.

The 5-foot-11 offensive weapon received 27 offers and chose the Gators over Ole Miss and Indiana. He is the No. 159 overall player in the 2026 Class and the No. 24 wide receiver, per the Rivals Industry Ranking.

Offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem:

UF's first commit today was four-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem, who had 24 offers and chose the Gators over Ole Miss, Cincinnati and Florida State. Chukuyem, from Douglasville, Georgia, is the No. 283 overall player and the No. 25 offensive tackle in the 2026 Class, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is listed at 6-foot-6 and weighs 290 pounds.
