In an alert posted via Facebook, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said both the Gainesville Police Department and the ACSO received calls late Saturday afternoon about an active shooter at Oaks Mall.
An hour after the initial post, ACSO posted an update on Facebook, confirming law enforcement detained “one person believed to be involved in this incident.”
