With one more match in the regular season, Florida lacrosse was off to a slow start. In the first frame, the Gators only totalled two goals, courtesy of senior midfielder Kaitlyn Davies and freshman attacker Autumn Blair.

But that didn’t slow down the Gators. From there, Florida dominated play against UC Davis and ended its 2026 Big 12 Conference slate in style.

The No. 4 Gators (14-2, 5-0 Big 12) defeated UC Davis 19-6 (7-8, 2-3 Big 12) on Saturday at Donald R. Dizney Stadium. With the victory, Florida outright won the Big 12 Regular Season Championship for the second consecutive year.

Riding a two-point lead entering the second quarter, Florida carried play from there. UF went on a 9-1 run to finish the first half and stretched its lead to 10 by the midway point of the contest.

Entering the third frame, no one knew what was hotter: the stadium's metal bleachers in 88-degree Fahrenheit weather or attacker Frannie Hahn. She had already scored two goals on the day, but still scored three more in a row in under five minutes.

Hahn led both teams in points, tallying five goals, one assist, recovering one ground ball, and causing a turnover.

Although the Aggies had a better second half and found the back of the net twice in the third quarter and three times in the fourth, the clock was running too fast to catch up to the Gators. Florida had left them in the dust long before, as they held a consistent 10 or more point lead following the end of the first half.

The victory marks the Gators’ 11th consecutive win of the season, including a 5-0 record in conference play.

Following the game, Florida honored its seniors, including Davies, goalie Paige Crowther, midfielder Cali Bishop, defender Theresa Bragg, attacker Ava Kristynik, defender Colleen Ryan, defender Jenny Woodings, midfielder Carly Wilson, midfielder Sydney Wilson, and attacker Ava Tighe.

Those seniors did not go out quietly. Davies scored the first goal in the match two minutes into the first quarter, becoming the 28th Gator to score 100 points in her career. She is the third Gator this season to achieve the mark, joining Hahn and attacker Clark Hamilton.

But she did not stop there. Davies tallied six points with four goals and two assists in Saturday's match. She also recovered two ground balls and caused a turnover.

Another shining senior for the day was Kristynik, who scored four goals and had one assist. Before this game, Kristynik had only totaled five goals on the season.

Woodings did not leave her final regular-season game without dominating the circle. She won 12 of the Gators 16 draw controls.

Meanwhile, UF’s defense did not quit. It contested every attack, and in the first half, they didn't even allow UC Davis to bring its ball near the eight-meter arc.

That dominance was in part due to Bragg, who recovered two ground balls and caused three of the Aggies' eight turnovers. The Gators committed six turnovers, three of which were caused by UC Davis.

In the cage, however, there was a clear divide. Sophomore goalie Susan Radebaugh was flawless in the first quarter, making four saves on four shots on the cage. In the second quarter, she allowed just one goal for an overall 80% save percentage.

Freshman Maya Soskin, who was put into the game for the second half, struggled. She made just two saves and allowed five goals.

Meanwhile, Blair had her second career hat trick. Additionally, sophomore midfielder Gabby Greene did not play due to a hand injury, per ESPN. Junior midfielder Gabbi Koury, a regular game starter and team captain, also did not start the game for undisclosed reasons.

As the regular season comes to a close, the postseason begins. Florida will host the Big 12 Tournament beginning on Thursday at Donald R. Dizney Stadium, where they will rematch against UC Davis at 4 p.m.
