Xaivian Lee, a consistent starter for Florida’s 2025-26 team, agreed to sign an Exhibit 10 contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. Lee’s contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal, minimum salary training camp deal.

This move comes after Lee was one of 44 players invited to the G League Combine on May 8-10 in Chicago, where he recorded a 38-inch maximum vertical leap, which tied for the fifth-highest among participants.

The Toronto, Canada, native also took part in a few team workouts, including one with the Indiana Pacers on June 15.

“I’m just trying to go out there and compete, and show them that I’m a competitor, winner, and show I can shoot the ball as well,” Lee said in an interview uploaded to the Pacers’ YouTube channel after his workout.

In his senior season at Florida, Lee was the starting shooting guard and averaged 11.6 points and a team-high 4.2 assists per game. While he faced a shooting slump to start the season, Lee later turned things around, recording a season-high 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting against George Washington on Dec. 13 in Sunrise, Florida, earning him the Orange Bowl Classic MVP.

"I always try to keep my confidence high, despite whatever is going on,” Lee said after the game. “But it’s been tested the last couple weeks. So just letting it fly, trusting my teammates and whatever happens happens."

On Feb. 16, he was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week following an 18-point outing against Georgia and a 22-point performance against then-No. 25 Kentucky. Against Ole Miss on Feb. 21, he recorded the first point-assist double-double by a Gator in four years with 11 points and 10 assists.

Before Florida, Lee spent his first three seasons at Princeton, where he received unanimous First-Team Ivy League Honors in 2024 and 2025.

In his sophomore year, Lee averaged 17.1 points per game on 45.1% shooting from the field, including 33.8% shooting from beyond the arc. He then averaged 16.9 points per game in his junior season, going 43.9% from the field and 36.6% from three, making him a premier target in the transfer portal following the 2024-25 season.

Now with a professional contract secured, Lee will try to prove his value with the Cavaliers during his limited time.
