















About 300 people gathered on 13th Street and University Avenue at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, walking out of work and school as part of a nationally organized day of action to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Michael is a Spring 2026 photographer with The Alligator. He is a junior journalism major and it is his third semester on staff. In his free time he enjoys running, listening to music and attempting to perfect the same couple recipes time and time again.

Noah is the Spring 2026 multimedia editor. He previously worked as the assistant multimedia editor for one semester and as a staff photographer for two semesters covering community stories and sports across Gainesville. Before his time at UF, Noah worked on the sidelines at Maryland and Penn State photographing their football teams. He has also done freelance and graduate photography work in his home state of Maryland. In his free time, he enjoys following hockey, football and traveling to rural places.
UF’s Lettuce Club holds its first eating competition
Mar. 10A crowd of around 40 people gathered by a bench to watch 20 members of UF’s Lettuce Club compete in a lettuce eating competition Feb. 19. Many watched with their own pieces of lettuce in hand, and some even gripped personal bottles of dressing to complement the leafy greens.
