Quilt dedicated to Tom Williams, who was lynched in 1871. Betty Davis, a community member who worked on the quilt, said she was surprised to see so many people at the exhibit. “It’s a joy,” Davis said. “To see so many people come out here to see projects that we worked on.”
Julianna is a first-year journalism student and The Alligator's Spring 2026 race and equity reporter. She was previously an editor for Eagle Media, Florida Gulf Coast University's student newspaper.
