Kevin Marfiak, a 23-year-old UF biology senior, lies with Alberta next to a “THANKS” sign that he helped create for Grateful Gator Day. Marfiak, who helped plan the event, said he had been waiting to have his moment with Alberta since he was 19. “She’s looking lovely today,” he said.
